First post nerves but here we go...

Hands up who thinks that an android app for MSE would be the best thing in the world ever? Even if it's just the forums.

I don't have a smart phone, so maybe I just don't "get it"... but... this is just a website. Surely you can access websites on smart phones...?!

I mean... what would an "app" do that the website doesn't...?

well it depends on the implementation
for another forum i use
The app is designed for the phone.so now browser mobile version or scrolling pages
you can also integrate features such as subscribed threads into the phones push notifications

Trying to view this site on a phone is a nightmare. Most sites offer a mobile version that is optimised for smartphones.

What custardy describes above would be a great addition.

Told you I was a trouble maker

Viewing the site on 3 and half inch screen and having to resize it each time is the source of my frustration. A mobile view would help, especially for those non android users as well (so as not to discriminate to those apple and microsoft users that have sold their souls)

Forum apps make the GUI a lot more user friendly than viewing in a browser on a 5" or less screen.
