Parking Charge Notice

Options
Hi all I am hoping that you would be able to offer me some advice as to get out of this stupid parking fine

I had been off work for 2 weeks and put my parking permit in the glove box - turned up for work and couldnt find a space in the Multistorey car park (where i normally park) which you you id card to access, so i had to park outside and i forgot to put my permit in the window.

anyhows I came out after work to find parking Charge Notice attached to my windscreen from PCP enforcement agency - (in small print the trading name for park shield collection).

This was at the QA hospital in portsmouth which having searched has had alot of issues with this but i am looking for the most unto date information as i understand you used to ignore it but now thats not the best thing to do

Can anyone help?
I have not responded to this notice and i got it on thursday

TIA

Assuming this is not in Scotland and you are not driving a lease/hire or company car, then the advice is not to contact the parking company, and wait until he Notice to Keeper comes through the post.

In the meantime do a search for 'soft appeals', which will give you a heads up on what to do when you get the NtK.

The best advice is to be as dishonest as the scammers.

As said, wait for the NTK. Then write an appeal saying that you are the keeper and that there is a valid pass that was not on view. You can even send in a copy. Ask for the charge to be dismissed or a POPLA code.

At the POPLA stage (I don't expect your appeal to be upheld) there are a few appeal points that win currently. This has NOTHING to do with you having a valid pass or not.

Please spend 10 minutes reading the POPLA Decisions sticky thread at the top of this page - you can skip the first 2 or 3 pages but you MUST read the recent ones.

You will see the major winning appeal points there. Now we can help, but you need to be aware of the general background and how we win.

Please do not write to the PPC other than advised and definitely don't doi a POPLA appeal without our help.

Just send a copy of the pass and appeal.

Why resort to lies and dishonesty when we have 100% success rate at POPLA, beating the scammers at their own game, in spite of their sneaky treacherous ways.

Yep but not yet, the OP wants to wait for the Notice to Keeper because that will be non-compliant and will probably give her more grounds for appeal at POPLA stage. Let them dig their own holes with their rubbish Notices & letters.
