Power shower banging noise

We have a Mira power shower, which has worked fine until the last week or so.
Now, when the shower is on, there is a loud thudding noise coming from the airing cupboard. It happens approx. every 3-4 seconds the entire time the shower is running.
Any idea what this could be?
