Will signing up for new broadband affect my credit rating?

I wouldn't normally be concerned but we are in the middle of exchange and completion and I need to make arrangements for a new broadband provider.

I was just wondering if agreeing to a contract, ordering new router etc, will affect my credit rating? Or does info such as this not show?

Not sure about other ISP companies but I was with Sky broadband who never reported to the CRA's. I have been with BT Broadband Infinity for over a year now and they have been reporting to Equifax and Experian every month.

That's interesting...currently with sky and no reports on our file and it is BT we are thinking of switching to.

I guess I'll have to hold off for now which is a pain as I wanted to get my broadband sorted sooner rather than waiting a couple of weeks for a router to be delivered

I've never had anything recorded on my file. The Mrs has a Virgin Media TV, broadband and phone package in her name (I wasn't on the electoral roll at the time) so can see whether these packages are reported.
