can a ccj debt be written off

for the past 8 years I have been paying off a debt by attachment of earnings, my circumstances have changed so I am struggling to pay this,i have no contact details and do not now how much I owe,can this be written off

    no. your paying them why should they. however your employer should have the details of the attachment. you should be getting statements

    The creditor can decide to write off the CCJ if they want. It is unlikely though.

    Depending on what other debts you have there may be other options like an admin order or DRO etc. Contact the debt charities in my signature and forum stickies to see what they think.
