    Morning all,

Molly i'm so sad to hear about Chay. Such sad news. :(

I was up bright and early this morning. I'm having my Grandson for a couple of hours this morning so I wanted to get my bits and pieces done in the house before he comes. I'm fairly organized. Tea is prepared. We are having beef today.

Kids eh? Youngest has decided in his head that if his Girlfriend gets a place at Birmingham University in two years time she can stay with us as she lives in Liverpool. I'll pay board for the two of us he added..... I think not sunshine! I don't think it occurred to him that i'd say no. Anyway, we are talking 2 years ahead here.... A lot can happen in 2 years and he is only 17.:rotfl:

I might not be popping in so often for a few weeks or so as my internet time will be limited. I'll try and check on the daily thread when I can but I might not have time to post.

    Have a great day all,

    Morning all!
Feeling loads better, thanks for all your well-wishes. Sadly mum seems to have the bug today, on the plus side it means I don't need to take her to her cousin's funeral, don't think I could face the crem today. MIL isn't well either, coughing up loads of gunk, so have made her a gp appointment for later, since she had radiotherapy for her breast cancer one of her lungs was damaged, and she gets pleurisy at least once a year, need to nip it in the bud as she usually refuses to go into hospital leaving me to run after her!
DD seems to have turned herself into Minnie mouse, photos on FB show her wearing a red and white spotty dress and Minnie headband at Disney! Looks like they are having a ball!
Not sure what to get up to today, sun is out just now so will go out for a while I think.
    Have a good day all
    RIP Iain

    Morning all,

lovely and sunny here, it brightened up yesterday afternoon and I was able to get the washing dry after all.

Today I am sorting out kitchen cupboards - stuff is getting wasted and that is dreadful, so I have arranged things in date order and have the interesting task of using up the oldest without giving DH indigestion - nothing 'goes together' in an obvious way. Surprisingly, none of the wine has passed its date - shame I can't drink!

I also have a doll kit to make up, I was given the Cath Kidston rag doll book at Christmas.

    Mollie, such sad news

Jools, sounds like you've got your hands full

Have the best day you can all x
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • Hello all,

Had a bit of a manic morning, popped into town as I wanted a few bits from Primani. DS2 phones me and asks me if I could bring his forgotten G&P homework to school at break. So quick rush home to collect and deliver it to him.
Told him if his room wasn't such a sh~thole and he actually put things away he might not forget it in the first place!!

Got a bit annoyed that I couldn't pay my money into Lloyds as it had changed to a TSB so had to drive to another town to do it! Wish they'd sent a list of who was changing.

Fish Pie for tea tonight with fish from the freezer I'm trying to use up.

Rains just started here so I'm off to get the towels in quick!
  • Best laid plans and all that. I wasn't going to drive far for a few days but I realised that the car battery had taken a bit of a hammering so ended up bombing out to the next town to give it a boost.
I've dropped hubby at work and popped in to discuss the possibility of a phased return when I'm feeling better.
Home now and I've had a tiny dinner, small portions seem easier to digest, I've eaten my daily apple and my daily treat (half a milky way) I shall have a small portion of cereal about 7ish and that will do me for the day.
    Have a good afternoon everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Was dry this morning but really chilly, I had to go to town to pay a bill and forgot that I needed to draw some money out for shopping, so I will go down tomorrow as it is market day and I need a few bits in Wilko's as well.

Had a heavy shower earlier and brought all of the nearly dry washing in and it is on the airers, the wet stuff is still out there,I will bring it in soon.

DS had a good first day at college and has come in saying how much he enjoyed it, he is doing the Extended National Diploma in IT and wants to go on to Uni when the course finishes in two years.

Dinner tonight is ham and egg pie using some ham that is due to go out of date tomorrow.

Shazbat it has just started raining again so I am off to get the washing in.

    BFN x

  • Well I am miffed!
I made fish pie for dinner and added half a red chilli as I find it a bit bland normally. DH said it was the worst dinner I've ever cooked. I rather liked it and couldn't even taste the chilli!

DS2 came home from school, they have decided he now can't do Psychology as he didn't get an A in his double science just a B! Fair enough but why wait until they have been back a week before telling them they have to choose an alternative there and then! A letter will be on its way to the school!
