My Fathers debt on my Experian report

Hi Guys,
I recently moved house (renting) and had the most horrible time trying to persuade the estate agents that my credit report was wrong.
Long story short:
Me and my father have the same name only he has a middle name.
in 2010 we both lived at the same address and he ran up a few debts I moved out a few month later
2013 my girlfriend and I decide to get a flat and I fail a credit check based on a CCJ for the amount of £3000.
I have no doubt that the debt belongs to my dad, all I would need to prove it would be the DOB on the record but after speaking to the court involved and the solicitors (who also got in touch with company the money was owed to) no-one has a DOB or his middle name (which he rarely uses)
A few other things of his also show up such as linked addresses and a defaulted credit card but all of these either have his DOB or his middle name.
Experian want me to get my dad to write in with the details of the debt and proof of ID addmitting the debt is his but I have absolutly no contact with my father and I'm 100% sure he would not do this for me.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Tell Experian that you want them to remove the information that is not yours, based on the lack of a full name and DOB link to you and your knowledge that you have never received a CCJ, confirmed by the court that the court did not issue a CCJ against a person with your name and DOB.
Defaulted credit card and such with middle name that is not yours or DOB that is not yours also clearly indicate that those are not your own data. The linked addresses are presumably associated with those wrongly recorded accounts.
Also worth clicking on Edit then Advanced and changing the title to include "on Experian report" at the end, so those with a specific interest in Experian and how they work will more readily notice this question.0 -
Does the CCJ also show up on Equifax and Callcredit?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
