4mm Polycarbonate Sheet for a cold frame
I have a couple of Aldi cold frames I just noticed the one I had left outside this Summer the plastic is broken and need to replace the door which has 2x 615mm x 470mm. Had a look on ebay and a few sites but seems expensive to buy once you add postage on top. Looked at B&Q who also sell it comes to around £17 may as well just bin the cold frame and get a new one as it amount to half the cost. Anyone know any cheap places
Its the door at top of picture thats broke

it called 4mm Greenhouse Polycarbonate Sheet Twinwall
or Corotherm Polycarbonate Glazing Sheet
We dont have any other diy places in my town although do have some garden centres but are independent

Just up the road from me is a double glazing place, all the old windows they take out are just left outside until the skip man comes. I've seen lots of people taking them to re-use the windows or make cold frames. Thet're glad to get rid of them. See if there's anywhere similar where you live and take the glass for free.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Try your local freecycle, someone might have a left over sheet from another project hanging about in a shed or garage.0

Try nick-gray.co.uk the sheet will cost around £5 plus delivery should be less than £17 all in I would think. They are in Staffordshire.0

Sailor Sam is talking a lot of sense. I have had the same problem and clear glass side pieces from redundant shower cubicles could be just as good."if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170
