Hope someone can help.
My gran has some insurance policies but she says she has no paperwork for them.
She thinks the guy who used to collect the money took all the payment books and policy paperwork.
The only info that she can give (90 year old ,poor memory)is the policy was with Blackburn insurance????
Does anyone know of a way of finding info on lost insurance policies.

Hi - Irecall the name Blackburn as a small insurance company from 30/40 years ago but the quickest way to track down the policies is probably to invest £18.00 in
https://www.uar.co.uk
as they have records of the vast majority of unclaimed life policies.
Best of luck0 -
ABI hold records of insurance mergers and acquisitions. Hang on a sec.
Found it on the website of an insurance trade magazine. Blackburn Assurance are now part of Swiss Life.

However, Swiss Life have now sold to Resoulution / Phoenix - a firm that buys up closed life funds - i.e. ones no longer accepting new business.
