Squid Card

Is anybody else having problems with the Squid Card that has to be used to pay for school lunches?

We cannot get any money on to it.

I am also concerned that there is no protection for your money if Squid Card goes bust and they have a sneaky fee of £5 to get your own money back if you close your account (which you will do when your child leaves).

    hi maggie
i am concerned that schools are using this system of payment and tthat at my childs school you cannot pay in any other way for school trips etc consequently a number of children from the school are excluded from these trips because they cannot or choose not to use the squid system. I have been told by the Borough that schools should have an alternative means of payment but this has not been implemented. I have written to the DofE and asked their advice and am awaiting a reply.
