Amazon local deal- Durley Dean Hotel

We purchased an Amazon local deal for 2 nights at the Durley Dean Hotel in Bournemouth and paid in advance We thought the hotel was terrible and very dirty and left after the first night. When we complained to the Manager, who was rude and agressive he refused to give us a refund saying it had been booked through Amazon and any complaints should be directed through Amazon who will not do anything to help. Where do we stand basically the hotel was dirty, the bedding was awful, the shower would not work and we had a constantly dripping tap.

We experienced a similar problem. The Hotel Manager at the Durley Dean Hotel was so aggressive and did not try and help by suggesting we moved rooms. No luck when we complained to Amazon . They are quick enough to advertise these deals but if things do no go to plan they seem to wash their hands of any responsibility.0

The level of bad reviews on Tripadvisor would have made me give serious consideration before deciding to book there.0
