Lloyds/TSB are cheques still valid?

Options
Just received a new Lloyds/TSB cheque book last week just before the letter stating they're going independent.
Will these cheques be honoured? Thanks

Should be as your account number and sort code are remaining the same, and both sets of branches are still serving both sets of accounts for the time being. If that makes sense.

TSB customers will be getting new stationary/debit cards etc. eventually, but for now old stuff is fine.

  • Thanks, it was chaos in the branch this morning as it's reverted to Lloyds. Now nearest TSB is 35 miles away.

For the time being, you can continue to use either a Lloyds branch or a TSB branch to service your TSB account.

That will change at some point in the future, but they haven't yet announced when.
  • And you still have to put lloydstsb to locate their website if you put lloyds.co.uk you get a ski experience site.

I was in a 'new' TSB this afternoon and the message going out was that whilst the staff fully expected this to be the case the computer system was bringing up messages saying that the customers could not pay in money without a printed payment book. I saw loads being directed to a Lloyds bank and the staff dealing with the difficulties really well.

  • My local LloydsTSB is staying a Lloyds Bank but it was originally a TSB before the merger.
