The OP's original post implies they are looking for the best in credit interest bearing current accounts.
First Direct and Halifax pay 0% on credit balances and they already hold an account with FD.0 -
Hi I went into a nationwide branch to enquire about opening another flex direct"It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. Branches don't do FlexDirect, that's what Direct means. The 5% is your commission for being a self-service customer - it's the money that would be spent flogging it through branches.
You can, however, open a FlexDirect account in a branch (although I'd suggest online is easier).
You can also service them in branch where there isn't a self-service option available (e.g. cash withdrawals over £300, CHAPS, etc).0
