If you have Home Bargains they have good coconut milk - 75% coconut and 59p. Blue tin says Rich&Creamy coconut milk on it, made in Thailand. And Maggi powder was 39p last time I bought some from there.

Have a look in Asian supermarkets too - my local one has tins for 59p, so I stock up whenever I'm there. Cheaper spices, dried lentils and other ethnic foodstuff too!

Asian supermarkets are the place to get coconut milk.

However, don't panic, if you open the tin and the contents look like dried white emulsion paint. It has separated and just needs stirring.

The brands for the "western" market evidently contain an additive to stop it separating and frightening unsuspecting customers.

Most world food bits in supermarkets have a foregin 'coconut milk' product much cheaper. Morrisons have/had one on offer recently at 50p a tin.
