possible redundancy

Options
The company I have worked for for 9 years has informed us that they plan on moving next summer – they aren’t moving far (I currently travel 4 miles on public transport, new premises are 11) but the extra costs I will incur will treble as I will need to get a travel pass that also covers tram/train and it will take me approximately 1.5hours to get there.

I have had a look in my contract for a moving clause but the sentence is rather gobbledy-gook!!! I am going to have a meeting with my boss later in the week and see if they are offering redundancies/ask for redundancy. Have any of you been in this position? Did you get the outcome you wanted?

Although I am currently learning to drive, even when I pass I will not be able to afford to buy and run a car as the salaries are not that great.
