Wrote to me about possible taking of premiums from me without authorisation and they had calculated what they thought was owed, about £31. I wrote back to them asking how I would know and how they had made the calculation (as it was some time ago that I had the plan although I had it for many years)….they didn't respond, just sent me a cheque for about £31. I didn't think about it at the time and just paid the cheque into the bank - pre-occupied with a family situation - however, do they just pay up because they don't want to investigate and assume that people will just accept a cheque and that then exempts them from further responsibility? Is it too late to go back to them or should I just forget it? I had a similar situation with a phone insurance and they eventually paid me back around £800 including interest…however that was more recent and easily traceable. Any suggestions helpful. Thank you
