When I made my order for the 30 bags I also ordered 2 bags of their factory clearance assorted chocolates.

Both these bags contained a large quantity, at least 25%, of plain unadorned fudge. I e-mailed them and today received 2 more bags as replacement. Even without opening the bag I can see at least 10 pieces of plain, not an atom of chocolate, fudge again. How can they do this? The product is being marketed and sold as 'Assorted Chocolates'. Surely someone at Thorntons must realise that fudge is not chocolates. I realise that if it was chocolate covered fudge then that would be OK and to description.

Incidentally I hate sweet sickly fudge!

My box of 30 arrived today, all with 2014 May to July dates except a bah of mint creams that me & work friend polished off. All in all a very happy deal.

I plan to use some bags for my sons teachers in homemade adult versions of the chocolate sleighs at Christmas.

Mine arrived today, earliest date 31/1/14, but all the rest at least May.

Instore today I bought 'great british puddings' 209g for £1.50! It's £5.99 in Tesco but I can't see it on the Thorntons website. The shop assistant said they were half price at £2.99 so I bought 5, but the till took off a further £7.50, saying 50% off summer sale so I only paid £7.45 for 5 boxes

It appears Thorntons have changed all their packaging. In co.op today large selection boxes for £5.

They are advertising on their website 20% off all orders over £25.
What they havent told you is that have put the price of everything up ie 30 bags now are advertised at £35.00 not £30.00. What a scam.
