Epson SX425 printer - no driver for Win7?

Just upgraded to a Win7 laptop, and trying to download drivers for my SX425 printer and the Epson site tells me there is none available for Win7?
My son has had a Win7 laptop for over 12 months now, and he can print on my printer. I can't remember how I set up his connection, but assume I downloaded the drivers then. What can I do? Don't want to have to splash out on a new printer as well, when this one is perfectly OK. Will another Windows version work? Can I somehow pick up the drivers off my son's machine and copy onto mine? I did a google for drivers, and found another download site which claimed to have the Win7 driver, but my virus checker went ape over threat activity, so I abandoned it!
Must say, I am very disappointed if Epson have decided not to support Win7. I have only ever bought Epson printers, and found them excellent, but not so happy now
Any advice please?

Is your son's machine running the 32bit version of Windows and your new laptop running the 64bit version? ... it may simply be that Epson didn't bother to develop a driver for 64bit.
Even if this is so, Win7 in either flavour should be able to load a generic driver.
Does the printer show up at all ... have you tried the 'Add New Printer' route in Control Panel?... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -

Thanks all, since first post I have had another dig around on the Epson site and found the pages linked above.
Why the automatic search for Win7 drivers was giving a "no show" for mine is a mystery, but now all downloaded and done a test print fine.
Thanks all and sorry for not looking further first before I posted my woes!0
