My Samsung laptop is only 2yrs old and so far I am in my third AC adapter. The last one lasted only 4 months, does anybody know why they do not last, is it because I carry it my backpack every week when I come home and it tends damaged there. At £40 I cannot really afford to keep changing it. I wonder whether it can be repaired or was it faulty!! Thanks

Did it look physically damaged? Problem could also lie with the laptop, perhaps the DC jack is damaged, either shorting out the connection or there is a bad contact, meaning higher resistance so the AC block overheats and blows... Or it might be that samsung can't make adapters. Hope you haven't paid for the replacement, unless they look damaged from you moving them about I'd expect at least one if not both of them to be covered by the SOGA.0

No, he does not look physically damaged. I think I will need to go and have it check at a computer shop. Thanks0
