Printer ink! :(

Hi I'm new to this forum, I hope I'm writing in the correct bit. As all of you know, printer ink is really expensive, my old printer has just given up the ghost after I bought "fake" ink to begin a little idea (and a very good one!) which could be enjoyable and earn a little money........ I have always got away with using the cheaper ink so now I'm worried about buying another printer as I know I won't be able to keep paying out the money for the genuine ink carts which initially I always do but it gets ridiculous and makes you skint..... and I think any earnings I make would make would just be paying for these expensive ink carts rather than having an extra bit of money coming in! Any printers out there that run on cheap carts? Thanks in advance

Have you tried running a head clean operation on your printer?0

Yep, I tried everything to fix it. It literally seemed to stop functioning properly, even after some tinkering! had to dump it today, was useless.0

I would suggest an Epson. Plenty of cheap models and they use compatible cartridges which are readily available on the web.0 -
Never spotted that they dumped it.
but yes i suggest an Epson. i use a Epson Stylux SX438W all in one ( and i have for years avoided all in ones) but i only use the print option anyway, but i get 3 sets of compatible inks for £10 and have never had any problems0 -
Thank you for your suggestions and help
