Hi all
I just moved in to a very nice flat which I am renting. I've soon realised how hot it is. The temperature in each room is 24 degrees at the moment and thats with all the windows open a little while I am at work, with the blinds down.
Do you think its cheeky to ask the landlord for some air con?! I am deeply concerned cos its not even peak summer yet.

Its cheeky!
Air conditioning units are hardly standard issue.
Either open the blinds slightly to let the air circulate out of the windows or buy yourself a fan.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. You'll have to buy a fan.
The higher up you are, the warmer it gets. Good news for your bills in winter but hell in summer.
I'm in a three storey house, it's fine downstairs but the top floor is like Dante's inferno already!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Those water units aren't bad and are pretty cheap to buy and run.0
