Tesco Clubcard vouchers for Barcelo Hotels

Hi guys, not sure if this is the correct forum but perhaps you could advise. I was a bit quick off the mark buying quite a lot of Barcelo vouchers (my Clubcard deals were due expire in a few months so had to choose something or lose them!)

I should have checked Barcelo Hotels out first as I now see they are fairly upmarket, the price of their rooms is quite high and some hotels are not available to Tesco deals in a lot of countries in Europe.

Added to this, the instructions to book say you have to phone an international number to enquire/place the booking and as I only have a mobile phone now I'm concerned the cost of the call will be high.

Has anyone used Barcelo Hotels to spend their Tesco Clubcard deals vouchers, if so can you let me know your experience?

Thanks.

  • I have booked 3! All 1 week AI in the Balearics and canaries, each cost circa 2K for a family of 4.
Wasn't aware the phone number was premium but I use a landline, they are very helpful if you do ring them up.
I love barcelos the food and drink is fantastic for AI.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon. Have you stayed in different hotels? I may consider the Canaries if you recommend. The biggest problem is the cost of flights are high from Scotland!
  • We stayed at fueterventura thallaso spa, very nice hotel but very large too, only 10 mins from airport. Think there are some that are adults only that I would have chosen if I didn't have kids. We are going to menorca pueblo in 2 weeks, but chose this as flights were cheaper.

Thanks for your help, yes I could call them on a landline and/or sell them on Ebay I guess.

Not quite sure what you mean by Buxton. Where is Buxton? I have to spend them on International Hotels .

    Thanks.

Hi there. Is there much of a mark up on the price when using Tesco deals?
i am potentially interested in using some points to part pay for one of the Barcellos abroad next year.
Just wondered if there was a big price hike when using deals.
    TIA
