UKPC Parking Charge for leaving site

I have today received a parking charge from UKPC in Vastern Road Reading Berkshire for parking in a retail centre car park and leaving the site. The charge is for £100.00 or £60.00 if paid within 14 days.
The charge was placed on my windscreen. There is a two hour maximum stay in the car park and the charge was issued within 10 minutes of arriving. The car park signs have a clause about leaving but who would expect not to visit other shops outside of the retail park?
I did actually purchase an item from one of the stores on site on my return within the two hour slot so have a receipt.
Do I appeal or ignore?

You appeal saying you were a customer at the retail site (photocopy of any evidence such as receipts)

You appeal also to the landowner of the site saying that you were a genuine shopper at the site, again with proof. I would admit going off site for 5 minutes to the landowner.

Expect the PPC to turn you down but hope that the landowner shows common sense.
