fitting a hob 1cm smaller than existing ito worktop

Hello.
The switches on my hob have gone and have found a replacement at a good price on the net however although the widthnis the same the depth of the new hob is 1 cm smaller.
Just wondering if it will fit?
Thank you

That depends on the size of the cut out.

If you are lucky the new hob will still overlap the edges of the cut out sufficiently for it to be secure.

If you are unlucky you will have a visible gap.

Check the size of the cutout and compare that to the new hob specs.

You might be able to measure the cutout from underneath without removing the hob.
