luton trade centre.com - Beware !

I decided a while ago to look for a second run-around and I came across this company online http://www.lutontradecentre.com/Home.aspx selling a VW Golf 1.6 (Auto) FSI 07 plate.
I turned up and had a nose around the vehicle and although slightly concerned by two extremely tiny issues I dismissed these due to the age of the vehicle / wear and tear etc.
I went into the showroom to discuss the finer points and the salesman then started to get very secretive and took the V5 away from me when I was about to make a note of the information I required to carry out my own independent HPI check for my own piece of mind... I was advised that they have already HPI checked the car and I didn't need to - well that's MY CHOICE as its my money - and you wont be seeing it now...
Apparently I may be about to clone another vehicle / V5 with this information
- Er HELLO ! I have turned up to possibly BUY this car...
Well, the suspicious side of me tells me to walk away so I did...
Would I return to Luton Trade Centre - certainly not if I cant carry out basic checks
