Low score but up to date

I'm one pay day away from being completely debt free and it feels fantastic :)
I checked out my credit score on noddle, and they've been really good and cleared some mistakes off my file - late payments when things have been paid etc...

However, despite it all being up to date, I have a low score or 1/5.
I don't understand this.
I have no ccjs, never been bankrupt etc... Had a few late payments but now it's all on track.
Why would it be so low and how much does it actually matter?

Someone suggested the score doesn't count, just the fact that I have credit and regular payments.
Im confused

what does the report actually say?
  • It gives me a breakdown of everything that I have owed and have credit with. It tells me what months payments were made on time and if they were late etc...
My barclaycard is the only one that says it's not up to date, which it is as I made the payment over the phone. I have queried it but they say it could take up to a month to put right.

How long ago were the late payments?

Although credit scores are largely irrelevant, a score of 1/5 will indicate there's something wrong.

It's probably down to the late payment. Have you definitely been through every record to check for late payments/defaults in the last few years?

Are you on the electoral register?

Do you have any financial associations?
  • It's from last month. I guess now I've brought it to their attention it will change at the end of the month.

Everything else is fine. I am registered and have nothing else against my name.

Once I sort this barclays thing out I'm sure it'l be fine.

Thats correct, the 1/5, 999 etc are all of no use to you and even the lenders as they dont see the score, what matters is whats on the file.

Let time heal your record. If you are now in the clear there's nothing to concern yourself with.
