Since when did seeing a Dr out of hours get so complicated?

DS has a cold/cough and this evening his breathing is cause for concern - really shallow, retracting - rang NHS direct, the nurse had a listen to him over the phone etc, she tells me to ring the OOH service as he needs to be seen by a Dr.

Ring the OOH, Dr calls me back, yes you need to bring him in...appointment at 11.40 at a hospital 20 odd miles away. (I live approximately 0.3 miles from a hospital which no longer has an OOH service  )

Drs obviously don't come out any more then :(

    It's a disgrace.

If you need to vent some angst - what I do is send an email to our local MP, we have a very pro active hands on one. Or the local newspaper.

I was listening to something on the radio and an A&E doctor was talking and I realised it was my Dads local. He said that they no longer run a service at night, instead people get sent via ambulance to Stoke or Cannock - 20 miles in either direction.
so people who have to call an ambulance often struggle through the night and then ring 999 about 7 in the morning to get an ambulance that will take them to the local rather than miles away.
This chap said that when he comes into work to open up A&E for the day at 8 there is often a line of ambulances waiting to unload outside, often with very sick people inside .

hi just tried looking for the Andrex Eco money back and I think it have finished :(

I searched for it and found this
To claim your money back, you will need to complete a claim form, and send this in with your receipt dated between 08.06.2013 and 31.08.2013 and the front section of your Andrex® Eco pack to the address listed below.

unless this is the wrong one it finished :(

I haven't done it yet

drat. I bought a second lot to do in another address and I've got the form and receipt sat in my folder untouched. I wonder what the date is, wondering if its worth returning ...

Need to catch back up (works got in the way and DD bas banned me from pinching her ipod anymore :o)
I think I need 2 weeks worth of NSDs
We bought DD Christmas pressie which cost over £100  then spent £100 on tiles (were a good bargain though!) and I've spent about £70 on pre orders I'm debating cancelling.
Really need to reign in the spending as payday is 2 weeks away still :(

    Tia:)

the MSL app list on my iPad - not looked at MSM incase I jinx it.
I'd already got my potential list ready so I just added these 2, not going to look at it again until I'm actually on the point of going out of the door later incase they have gone
