Jelly...where did you get your name from?
It's a tribute to a very good friend (my BBF if you could have such things back then) who in the 1980s started a band called The Earbleeders and he was the lead singer, and in tribute to Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys, called himself Jelly Biactol. Trained as a nurse, and was cycling to work one day and knocked off his bike and died. So it's my continuing tribute to him.:)

Make sure you go for 25% off wine deals, when they come around, in T where all the items you buy in the deal are on half price elsewhere.
  • Was just thinking today when I took my dad to his first ever supermarket as opposed to village shops. 38years ago this month apart from his sheer shock of a shop that big ,he was to witness his first weekly shop in a trolley as opposed to day today shopping .As I was putting things in my trolley he was taking them out .....not possible to want or need 3 tins beans I can hear him saying.....as I am rebutting them back in my trolley.NOw in them day's you didn't get glitches the best you got was buy say a box of daz and you might get a tube of Vim free. with it and that day I put four boxes of Daz with the four free VIm in my trolley and he started taking them out saying no one could possible want 4 boxes of daz in one week ....and i said no but it will save me buying a box for the next 3 weeks and I have saved on 4tubes of vim cost......well I thought he was going to blow a fuse.....he couldn't grasp the concept and just kept saying you don't need 4 daz nor 4 vim.....I tried then to get him to buy something before something ran out but since he was a child shopping was done on a daily bases then he brought his children up. Alone after my mother died when I was 8 so we would shop on morning for bread then school and shop for tea on return from school ,then when tea was over and pots done back to the shops for supper and the cat and dog food was the order of the ritual of several trips to the co,rner shop ......but the classic was when Safeway started there bogof so say he wanted domestosp and I would take him 2 and say you got 2 domestos they on special offer buy one get one free he used to say I don't want the free one I just want one you have the free one ...but dad I already got 2 as I got the bogof and as if humiliated he used to say well am not having the free one.......I wonder what he would think of me now that I have food in the garage red wine loo rolls.jaffa,s etc etc

    Always want a bit more.
no, I always come home at that time, ask dm or fc. it was a deal to come home early. so it was not a case of me wanting a bit more. it was mrs zippy wanting to give me a bit less. she won.
ref a bit less, I could not get any less :(

    totally agree savvy.
what you said at the start of the so called wine glitch a week back.
it is a better deal when its 1/2 price than the combined 2 deal that we were getting.
see I do read your posts. :)
