so its £8 for the curry items then.:(
    I thought you improved it.

    Sorry, zippy.

My three transactions turned into four when I noticed a cage of damaged alcohol boxes. Queried the reduced price as it was the same as buying two boxes on offer and they reduced further for me.

4 transactions - £65 total, cash paid £25 and £22 in PPs for (probably) next Monday 23rd when I next visit. This likely means I'm done with pizzas/curries now as my next few shops are all planned for ASDA.

Here you go. This is the letter I've just sent off to Bauer head office - no one messes with Tiger :D Guesses on what time i get a reply?? :rotfl:

"I have been trying to sort out my issue with your company but seem to be getting nowhere fast, hence why I have escalated this email.

I have been a long standing subscriber for many years and I got a phone call from Bauer Media/Great Subscriptions to try four Grazia issues for £1. I normally say no but I accepted this time. I received my first issue on 6th Aug. On the 22nd Aug, I emailed your company to cancel the subscription. I received an email back to give me a reference number. I did not receive anything else.

Yesterday, I had £35 taken out of my bank account. One of your staff told me it was for my 6 month Grazia subscription. Apparently an email was sent to me on the 23rd Aug, telling me that I should cancel the direct debit with my bank. I did not receive the email (and it wasn't in my junk or deleted box). I'm really annoyed about this, especially as I sent the cancellation email. Your staff in London have told me there is nothing else to do but this is unacceptable to me.

I am really cross with your company.

However, there is light at the end of this tunnel - I have spoken with my Bank who have re-instated my £35 and I have cancelled all further direct debits and subscriptions to your company.

You have lost a loyal subscriber.

    Kind regards,"

I popped into my bank recently to complain because the ghets had bounced one of my direct debits
I'd left the wrong amount of money in my account so I went £1.05 overdrawn but rather than leave my account like that (especially when they advertise a £10 buffer where you can incur no fees) they decided to bounce my DD and charge me £10 for the privilege!
I stood there arguing with them for 10 minutes and even asked them what the APR was for a £10 charge on a £1.05 o/d for 8 1/2 hours :D and they eventually agreed not to take the £10 fee off me :j
Trouty manager did it through gritted teeth though and my account now has a note on it saying 'no reversals for 12 months'.
It's a good job it's not my main bank account (it's the lovely Lloyds) and luckily that branch is now a TSB so I never have to set foot in it again :j
    Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
    Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
    Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

    Tuesday! :D

Edit: Actually reading that message a second time I don't think they'll bother replying at all.
How does the bank go about chasing up a DD refund? Do they hound the company after you've got your money back?
