Good afternoon everyone  My internet's been off since 6am

I wanted to thank whoever the OP for the Wilkinson personalised razor was (I thought it was little tweets but apologies if it's somebody else). The name on the razor is tiny lol but there's a £2 off voucher inside for a pack of blades. OH is very happy though :)

  • Mrs Stinkface ref The Works and buying canvases.
Very important to lay canvas you want to buy flat on the floor first to check it has not warped. Nothing worse than spending hours painting only to find canvas is warped and will not hang properly.
You can also buy paper for painting acrylics onto which works out a cheaper option if you might need a few attempts. Can paint over a canvas to have another go but is not always a smooth surface second time round.
Great starter pictures are sunsets as can almost do with a sponge for even colours and a 2 pence piece to stamp in shape of sun.

Another idea is to buy a large sheet of watercolour paper in art shop. Costs between 2 and 5 pounds but enough for several pictures. I use 2 or 3 different washes of watercolour then while still fairly wet sprinkle half with rock salt and put scrunched up cling film on rest. Effects when dry are stunning. Colours can be chosen to match decor. I then have a good look to see if I can find anything forming in the patterns. Usually see flowers and I work into this with inktense pencils but normal kids colouring pencils work ok.

Youtube has thousands of tutorial videos in anything you cou possibly want to do.

Look forward to seeing your work.
Don't forget the Works always have discount codes flying around. Also cheap for online shopping is Greatart.com very cheap supplies.

Your a superstar babe, thank you very much x

I'd love to get one of these for DH. His cycling friends tease the life out of him as he refuses to shave his legs. So ive asked for "smooth legs" to be printed on the razor:)
