Hi
Just incase the OP's don't see the questions.
A SANDS shawl is made to to comfort parents of a stillborn baby, sometimes used to wrap baby in.
Here is a pic of a ripple blanket, from Lucy at attic24, http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/neat-ripple-pattern.html.

Thanks so much Hester for the information on the SANDS shawl. The tutorial on ripple on that website is superb, that is one for my favourites craft tab.glitterkitty wrote: »TTFTM - Downton Abbey is due to start again on Sunday 22nd (2 weeks today!!) the trailer has been on TV, but you can watch it on YouTube if you haven't seen it already :-)

Afternoon all,
I don't know where the morning went, but it was nice and relaxing.
DH isn't sleeping well as he gets breathless very easily and starts coughing. He is still waiting for his appointment with the heart electrician - 'urgent' is only a 3 month wait, less urgent cases have
to wait longer.
One of my eBay items has bids on it :T I have some more things to list today.
Chicken for dinner tonight - I've defrosted a bag of chicken breasts that was lurking in the freezer and shall 'rubber chicken' them if I can hide the cooked meat from DH who would eat the lot in a sandwich without noticing.
Onwards and upwards, enjoy the day xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Afternoon all,
Had a nice lay in this morning, that was until my friend sent me a text to tell me her DS and DIL had their little boy delivered by CS last night, but what nice news to wake up to.
The grill in the oven wouldn't work so DH took it apart and it looks like we may need a new switch although it does work if you are careful where you turn the knob to.
I've been annoying DS2 trying to get him to get rid or at least downsize his pile of YR 11 work as I 've noticed the YR12 work pile has started on the floor next to the clean washing to be put away pile! I did actually manage to put four of his old white school shirts in the CS bag though. So it's a start.
Have a lovely afternoon and hugs to those who need or want one0 -
had a nice visit from my eldest DD and we enjoyed a good natter.Just pottering around waiting for youngest DD to arrive,I think we're dog-walking this afternoon.Bit showery but not cold and the fresh air will do us good.
Hope you are all enjoying you week-end

I spotted this a week or two ago, it's going on my payday buys list (along with the packs of bon maman preserves they always have a few aisles down, to refill!)
I'm feeling v under the weather so am curled up with a cup of tea, but have gone out and forked over the contents of our compost bin. We set it up about 3 months ago maybe, and it's coming along nicely. Probably helps that my rabbit's waste products, hay, wood pellets and wood shavings all go in to it with tea bags, eggshells and junk mail envelopes :-)
Going to have an online view through the Marshalls seed catalogue, we're coming up to the first anniversary of being in this house and I'm looking forward to growing a lot of our own veg next year :A0
