Earlier I used Barclaycard's pre-checker, it came up with two cards I could apply for. For the Reward card it said 'very good chance' then on their more basic card the Initial it said Excellent chance.
Here are the results from the pre-checker?

]The results of your pre-application check show it’s likely you’re eligible for a Barclaycard.

Here are the cards that could be available to you:

Terms and Conditions
The cards shown above have been selected as the most suitable choice for you based on a high-level check of your credit record and the additional information you have provided. This does not constitute an offer of credit and you may be declined once a full assessment of your application has been completed. This scoring method only applies to Barclaycard, as other companies may use different scoring methods.

Anyway, I went a head and I waited a while and got 2 responses, one said due to technical problems my application had been saved.
And would be looked at within 5 working days.

The second response said:
Due to technical issues, your application details have not been saved. Please re-apply again?

But checked on Equifax they have done a full credit search.

I have screenshots but can't load them on, sorry not too technical myself!

Anyone else had these conflicting messages?

Have you phoned Barclaycard to ask them?

Were the responses by email? If so did they provide contact details for questions and have you used them?

Which card did you apply for?

Not sure that listing the pre-check results is relevant.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

Really? Explains why I was advised to apply for the Initial from the pre-check yet I applied for and got the Platinum :rotfl: I suppose I could also get the UK Hilton card if I wanted it too, if it is indeed the case that they use Noddle/Call Credit for pre-app and Equifax for main app.

Most eligibility checkers use Callcredit while the hard pull uses EQ or EX.

I suspect the eligibility check only actually works if the data across these CRAs is consistent, which for many it is not due to the lack of reporting to Call Credit. For what it's worth the barclaycard eligibility checker was right on the money for me, when I eventually got it to work after trying about ten different combinations of my address.
    Oh, you wee bazza!
