Hi forum,
Just signed up for 6 windows, 4 are 1700 height by 800 width. 1 at 1700 by 1600 and last 1 is 1700 by 2400. They are white UPVC casement style." Rockdoor" grey composite front door and fairly standard half glazed white back door which they will fit a cat flap to before installing.
The company is a subsidiary of Weatherseal called St Andrews Home Improvements. We've had 5 quotes cheapest £3900 and dearest £4900 but this did not include the composite door. The price we've agreed to is £4300 but on reading the agreement it states "style finish" A,B or C. The salesman has ticked B. so my questions are;
1. Does this quote seem reasonable?
2. Does B mean an inferior window to A?
The lovely composite door was what swung us to sigh up as I know "rockdoor" is a quality brand.
Many thanks for any advice.

If I was you, I would get the salesman back round to explain this. He should also bring with him a window that will show you exactly what you are buying.
If he can't show you a demo, personally, I wouldn't gamble on it.0 -
Cheers for that, just left a message on his answering machine.
He assured me last night he'd ring me if I had any questions.
The surveyor is due to come and measure this afternoon, anything I should be asking him anyone?0 -
Both the salesman & surveyor say A,B or C is to do with the internal frames, whether its picture style etc. I'm happy with that explanation. The windows will be identical to the sample we were shown.0
