Car Phone Warehouse- What are they playing at?? Advice Please

Dear all,
I've had an absolute nightmare with Car phone Warehouse in the Walnuts, Orpington.
I purchased a mobile phone charger at £17.99 in February 2013. initially the payment didn't go through due to some problem with their payment network. I was told if I was charged twice to bring in my bank statement and receipts and I'd be reimbursed. When my statement arrived I went to the branch and they told me they couldn't refund as a manager wasn't present. I wasn't able to get to the branch again for a couple of months. When I went in they were helpful. I did however spend about an hour in the shop as they spoke at length to Head Office. At the end of the "session" I was promised that I would be sent a refund cheque. A few months have passed and no sign of the cheque. I week ago I sent them an e-mail through their complaints webpage. I've had absolutely no reply, not even an e-mail acknowledgement. I know it's only £17.99, but I feel I've wasted my valuable time and generally feel like I've been taken for a ride. Does anyone know how on earth I can get them to take notice?

Write to them at their head office, enclosing a copy of the bank statement. The letter should get passed to the correct person to handle, without you having o waste your own time sorting it out.
Alternatively, talk to your card issuer. They may be able to reverse one of the transactions.0 -
Don't faff around with CPW, call your bank and dispute it as a duplicate payment.0
