Suddenly lost sound on Acer Lappy - Pls help!

So last night and today I could watch videos no problems. Tonight there is just no sound at all! Please help!:o

Has your computer done an update. My Dell did an update and i lost one of my sounds drivers. Have you tried restoring your computer to a different date? Thats what helped with mine.My debt

what windows version?
use ear phones to see if you get sound.
check drivers. (google it for your laptop).
right click on the speaker/volume icon, and select playbacksounds and try and suss it out from there.
