I currently have equity isa's and sipps with Hargreaves and lansdown but think I can probably move to a cheaper platform -the wife as well- the choice seems to be between two alliance savings trust or Cavendish online -any opinions of the service level and associated costs -also does anyone know if I can move my existing funds free of charge or might there be a leaving charge from Hargreaves ad lansdown-can't seem to find that information -suppose I will need to phone them

The wife and I currently use Cavendish online, have transferred various ISAs in and invested new funds in both ISA and non ISA funds.
The transfers in have worked well and and took about 3/4 weeks.
The new investments were conducted without problem.
I have called them a couple of times and they have been competent and answered questions and attended to minor issues quickly.
Whether they will remain competitive past the end of the year we will have to wait and see."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....
