Facebook pages - admin rights

Hi,

I'm not sure if I have posted this in the right place, so apologies if it is in the wrong part of the forum. Hopefully someone may be able to help me.

A friend of mine is doing a charity mountain trek next year and he has asked me to set up a Facebook page to help promote the event etc.

I've set the page up no problem and it is linked to my personal Facebook page. I want to give my friend admin rights to amend the new page but if I do this will he also have rights to access y personal page? As much as he is a good friend I don't want him to have access to amend my personal page or to read the messages in my Facebook inbox.

I've searched google and I think pages are stand alone regardless of them being attached to personal ones but I want to be 100% sure before I set his admin rights.

Has anyone got a Facebook page which they have shared rights to? And can the people you've shared with view your personal page? Help!!!!

Thank you
Michala

You can restrict his (and others) access to your FB regardless in your personal settings. Even if you add him as an FB friend you can still restrict what he sees and even whether he can post comments.

You are granting him admin rights to the charity page, not to any of your personal Facebook Account.
  • Thank you!!

I don't mind him seeing the posts I put on my personal page as there isn't anything to embarrass me on there. But I wouldn't want him being able to access any personal messages in my FB inbox that's all.

    Thank you !!
