19 yr old and full time education and CTC

My son dropped out of college without completing his course over a year ago, he has been on JSA ever since, apart from a few months part time work. He has now decided to go back to college and has found a course, he has finally realised that being unemployed is no fun. I am on JSA as well at the moment, obviously his will stop if he goes back, but as he is under 20 will I be able to claim CTC for him for the new course, until his 20th birthday next year. I think this will also effect my housing benefit as well as he is a non dependant adult, it was ok while he had JSA. I really want him to go back into education just not sure if we will cope if has no income, obviously he is looking for part time work to fit in around his course.
