Try fully retuning your digital channels, this may stop it.Friendly greeting!0

Did that, it still does it.danthemoneysavingman wrote: »Try fully retuning your digital channels, this may stop it.0 -
Does it do it all the time, or only for local news bulletins?
What freeview box is it (or what TV, if the freeview is built in)1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
You could try unplugging your aerial from the TV, doing a retune - obviously you'll get nothing found, and then plugging the aerial back in and retuning again.0

I had the same nearest aerial is south wales which is what I wanted but it somehow tried to put the south west signals on the free view as well and kept asking me to to go to the wrong HD channel I finally solved it by going to the south west HD channels and deleting them. Is it a sony by any chance?0

My HD Humax freeview box makes similar suggestions. I think, for me, it's because there are competing signals for the same channels. My nearest transmitter isn't the strongest signal because of the orientation of my aerial, so I can't view channels 1, 2, etc. My strongest transmitter is slightly further away, so my BBC is tuned to (I think) 820 instead of 1. My weakest transmitter thinks BBC1 is channel 847 (or whatever). Red Button really confuses the machine.
So I have saved red button etc on my favourites lists and never navigate using the number buttons on my remote.0 -
Yup its a Sony.home_alone wrote: »I had the same nearest aerial is south wales which is what I wanted but it somehow tried to put the south west signals on the free view as well and kept asking me to to go to the wrong HD channel I finally solved it by going to the south west HD channels and deleting them. We have a Samsung smart TV that loses Freesat channels 101 to 105 (the SD versions of the 4 main broadcasters' channels). They reappear when the local news which is not shown on HD is on and then, sometime later, go missing again.
The problem is cured by a retune, but comes back again after a few days.0 -
