Is it worth it?

Hi all, I am currently way in to my overdraft on my account and as I am currently on benefits full time due to caring for a relative I am unable to pay it off. This is leaving me with interest charges of 20+ pounds per month I also get charged £6 a month for the overdraft and if I go over the arranged overdraft limit then I am charged £6 a day so my question is if it is worth me trying to get these charges back? or do I even stand a chance at getting them back.

If you are serious about getting rid of your debts, pop over to the Debt Free Wannabe board and post your SoA there (details of how in sticky thread there).0 -

Is the £6 a month for a packaged account ie an account with extras? If it is then that is the first thing I would get rid of as that will save you £6.00 per month and will mean that you can put that into the account to reduce the overall interest per month being paid out.http://www.lendingstandardsboard.org.uk/docs/lendingcode.pdf
