Hi,Has anyone walked the following Fulham Broadway train station to Harrods? How long did it take and is it easier enough to walk it? Many thanks Kelly.

Google maps says its 1.9 miles, 36 mins.
Part of the route is Old Brompton Road, I've walked part of that road, and it was reasonably pleasant.0 -
Depending on how fast you walk can be done in 30 mins, but might take an hour.
It is pretty much a straight road to begin with with some shops, and a football club (chelsea) on the way for a distraction.
If you wanted to take a scenic route you could walk along kings road then at sloane square turn into sloane street. this way would be about an hour.

We stayed at the hotel at Chelsea in December last year (Fulham Broadway, and much to DH's MU loving disgust :rotfl:) It's a very pleasant walk to Harrods, just take your time, I reckon it's a good 40mins, but tbh we went into the British Museum along the way, and we got a little distracted playing the 'guess which embassy it is by it's flag' game.
If you get a nice day, it's a lovely stroll (although I don't recall any of those posh houses having wheelie bins - the things you notice :rotfl:)BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

I think you must mean the Science Musem, or the Natural History Museum, or Victoria and Albert Museum, as the British Museum is in a totally different area of London (you could walk there in 2 hours and 1.5 hours back to Harrods)Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

It was the Natural History Museum, I remember now 'cos of the childlike excitement I had seeing the dinosaurs :rotfl:
Ta for clearing it up, we did a heck of a lot of walking that day, so everything is a bit jumbled up :rotfl:
I did get a Harrods carrier bag though :T which was the most important thing

By the way, the British Museums is also worth visiting, next time you're down here. Its Egyptian Rooms are among the best in the world for that period of history.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

As the company I work for has just finished a refurb on a property in that area, we had to build the bins their own home, so that they wouldn't lower the tone! Heaven forbid that the neighbours see that one shops in your common supermarket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A smile costs little but creates much

We did that too, but need to do it again, as I twisted my knee and ended up sitting down every time I found a bench, due to being in agony
. Plus it was full of schoolkids, so it was a bit hard to see everything in that Egyptian section. I think we did a little too much the first couple of days due to visiting London for the first time ever, we were a bit too overexcited and didn't pace ourselves.
We did get to the rather posh Selfridges and Mr Dontone was rather thrilled to meet Ian Hislop and get a signed book at the Private Eye book signing. In fact we are going again to London around Christmas Time, so we need to fill in a few gaps. St Pauls & the V&A museum being on the list.BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.
