Conservatory vs Extension

We're looking for a way to extend our house to give us a dining area and are trying to decide between a conservatory and a brick built extension. I'm aware that brick built extensions will add more to the value of the house but what is the price difference likely to be between the two? Thanks in advance.

We had an internal stud wall built a couple of days ago so the guy that built that is going to send us a quote and we've also got someone coming tonight to do us a quote so hopefully that'll give us something to go on
