Cleaning granite tops

I bought some granite worktops and I hate cleaning them. I wipe them in the normal way eg soapy water, spray clean.
But what is the cheapest way to make them sparkle/shine.
I currently use Method granite cleaner, but am wondering if there is a cheaper way to do this?

Make sure you've cleaned it properly, then wipe away any soap or spray residue with a well rinsed cloth, then polish with a decent teatowel or microfibre cloth. Good old fashioned elbow grease is what does it
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Malt vinegar. Seriously. Acidic enough to bite into the alkaline limescale, but nowhere near strong enough to damage the granite (which is from the same calciferous stone family as limestone, which is basically very thick limescale)
Just smear it about, leave it a minute or five, then give it a scrub with one of the fluffy-sided sponge pan washer thingies. Then a good rinse and wipe-over with kitchen roll.
If limescale's built up a bit - our old house was in a hard water area, and the worktop was near-black granite, so it really did build up - then work the vinegar with some fine wire wool or an old toothbrush around the base of taps.
For the finishing touch, just a good wipe over with damp kitchen roll or j-cloth, then a polish with dry kitchen roll. Shiny-shiny-shiny!0 -
Granite e-cloth http://www.e-cloth.com/household-range/granite-pack-2-cloths (cheaper on ebay) - No need for any sprays etc, the rough cloth removes grease then polish with the other cloth. The hob one is brilliant too!0

Microfibre cloth. Not the loose type but the smooth one you would buy for windows. Just wash the work top down and buff up with the mircrofibre0
