If your care needs have become worse then you could report a change of circumstances to the address at the top of your DLA award letter.
I would suggest that you get some advice from CAB before you do this as they can lower your award as well as raise it (not trying to put you off!)
My understanding is that you can still report a change of circumstances for DLA until early October. After this you may have to apply for PIP (Personal Independence Payment)
CAB would be able to advise you 1) whether they think you are eligible for the middle/higher rate of care 2) whether you should wait until after October and apply for PIP instead.
In the meantime you can add your partner to your ESA claim when she leaves work, if this is what you want to do. I am presuming that you are on contribution based ESA? When you add your partner to your ESA claim it will change to income based ESA. All income and savings are taken into account for income based benefits (whereas they're not for contribution based) so if you have mega savings you are best to continue on your single contribution based claim.0
