PC wireless adapter - help needed

Hi
I have a Dell Dimension 2400 PC with Windows XP which was connected to my Sky router by an Ethernet cable, and a long extension cord to the phone socket (which I have just snapped).
To enable the router to be connected directly to the phone socket I would like to make the PC wireless and Dell suggested a Buffalo AirStation Nfiniti network adapter, either
http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&sku=A2319774
or
http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&sku=A3158635
Can anyone tell me if this item http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&sku=A4185618 would do the same job as the size is much better for the location of the USB port on the PC.
The instructions for my Sky Broadband box says the adapter must conform to 802.11b or 802.11g to be compatible.
I am completely in the dark about these things and am looking for a simple solution so any help anyone can offer will be gratefully received.
Thanks.

That is too expensive. Here is a cheaper option with the same capability as the first.
If you prefer the smaller size, look here
But bear in mind the smaller one will have a lesser range. The router would need to be fairly close to the router. Here if you prefer eBay.0 -
I've never had much luck with USB wifi sticks but have had better success with internal cards.
e.g. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0055TNERM/
(should fit easily in your Dell pic ->)
Only try this if a. you're happy to open your case and b. you can check it'll fit in the case. (Buy through Amazon and return if it doesn't work.)
OR get a pair of cheap powerline/homeplug adapters. £20ish @hotukdeals. You need a spare power-point at router and PC though.0
