Storage Heating (Dimplex XT24 G heaters) Which supplier would be Cheapest?

I am moving into a property which has Dimplex storage heaters model XT24 G

Current supplier is scottish power,property has no gas,who do you reckon would be the cheapest to sign up with?

Any help/advice would be appreciated

You need to use a comparison website with your postcode and annual estimated kWh usage.

For the past couple of years Scottish Power have had the cheapest Economy 7 tariffs - however that could change.

In any case you initially will be on a 'deemed' contract with Scottish Power on their highest Standard tariff. They might give you an indication of your likely consumption in kWh. If you decide to stay with them you need to pick a cheaper tariff.

Contacted money supermarket who advised cooperative were coming up the cheapest @ £132 per month! (Roughly)

Scottish power advising if I use them I'm looking @ £50 per month (roughly)

Think I will use S/power after a year or so search again as I'm in sure of what my usage would be etc?

- one storage radiator or 6 storage radiators + water heating
- use is CAC ÷ 12 = monthly payment
- if next winter matches this £50pm is too low and £132 [unless you have 6 storage radiators] is too high
- £70-80pm each and every month is about right for an average of 2-3 storage rads per annum

From the second your rental contract begins you will be on a 'deemed' contract with the current energy supplier, get those meter readings [photograph for evidence] and submit them. Make a change to SP with a CAC ÷ 12 payment plan / e-account / you submit monthly readings / pay by DD for the best discounts.
Like Cardew, I agree SP is a good staring point for electric night store heat & water only. Best of luck.
