Demand for payment over a year later

If a service is provided in May 2012, can the vendor demand payment over a year later (september 2013) and threaten legal action??? The service would have been a cash payment on the day.

They have up to six years to chase payment. If you owe the money just pay it. If you don't owe it or don't agree with the amount then dispute it.0

Yep, if you owe the money, pay it. If you can't pay it all in one go, they will likely be amenable to staging payments0
