Rhoper Rhodes Vanity Unit Problem

Hi
We purchased a Rhoper Rhodes R2 Bathroom Vanity Unit and it has been installed about 5 months ago. As it's in an on suite the door to the unit below the sink has hardly been opened.
However we have just recently noticed that the hinge at the bottom has come away from the unit so the door is no not attached at the bottom and on the unit itself where the hinge goes in this has split so the on;y solution would be to use wood filler and then fit the hinge again.
However a colleague said you should ask for a replacement unit especially as it's not been used much, especially when you think how many times a day a kitchen cupboard door is opened each day.
Is it worth phoning the retailer where we bought the vanity unit and ask for a replacement because of this problem?

Your colleague is correct. It may well have a 10 year guarantee. Here.0

The R2 stuff is very low quality , hence why its half the price of standard rr items.
It would be rare for rr to offer a replacement , they will blame moisture etc for failureHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0
