Just tested it - took 1m50s to get hot. :(
How many metres away is the hot water tap from the boiler?

What does the boiler do when you turn the tap on? How many seconds does it take to fire up? My boiler takes 4 seconds just to get a flame.

Does the boiler have a preheat function or an ECO button? Enabling the preheat or turning off ECO will keep the primary heat exchanger hot. You will save water if you enable it....but it'll use more gas.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

I lean towards storage rather than a combi. The perfect solution would be a smaller volume unvented storage vessel..enough to fill a bath and no more. IMHO and in general, combis are over complex ,wasteful and an un-necessary imposition on the environment and the gas and water infrastructure.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

    About 9 m.

I hear it making noises almost immediately (1-2 seconds).

Nope. It's brand new but very featureless.
