^ doesn't matter now as the Compaq in question is no longer there. John-Lewis does 3 year warranties (for a £500+ spend I think).

The specific Care Pack bundled with it is the HP 2 Year Pickup and Return Service for 1 Year Warranty.

Don't make up stories claiming that a 3 year warranty was offered, as it is simply not true. If such a deal was offered, it is unlikely to have escaped the attention of the Search Engines. Yet you won't find a single reference to it, anywhere.

I phoned up HP before placing the order to make sure I was getting free shipping to Belfast(sometime they say free UK but it excludes NI), I spoke a lovely Scottish guy(I can give his name), and told free. Then I asked I get one year warranty and he said, "No three!" Really???? Yes.

Your quote means nothing, all it tells you is that the maximum warranty period for an Option/Care Pack is three years.

Post Warranty HP Care Pack is only available for 1 or 2 year options.

The Post Warranty HP Care Pack bundled with the laptop in question was for one year.

If you can find even a single reference on the whole of the Internet to the laptop being sold with a 2 year Care Pack for £319, I'll concede.
You will have your original order confirmation, so you can take a screenshot(omitting any personal details of course) confirming that it says 3 years or that it has an added 2 Year Care Pack.
It's really that simple.

On the subject of Compaqs and 3 year warranties, this (all-in-one) may be available with a 3 year warranty (but I doubt it as the RETAILER is not HP?).
